Moldova War Memorial
The above slide show is of the Moldovan War Memorial here in Chisinau. I would considedr this the Moldovan "Arlilngton". They have a tomb of the unknown soldier and memorials to the different branchs of military. It is a World War II Memorial. As you know, Russia was an ally in WWII so there are many Russian Soldiers buried here as well as Moldovan soldiers. The changing of the guard is very interesting, it takes place every 30 minutes. You will see by the slides that the soldiers march a "goose step" type march. It is impressive and Wendy and I really enjoyed it.
